That's it, the 2025 season of the World Rally Champion is officially launched! It is in the Hautes-Alpes as usual that the campaign of the WRC opened with the traditional Rally Montecarlo.

A test that did not lack spectacle, between beautiful images, like those of Thursday evening, and a disputed weekend. If he signed a 10th victory on this rally of which he is the undisputed master, Sébastien Ogier had to work hard to impose himself once again on his home turf. Because behind him, Elfyn Evans and Adrien fourmaux never really got far. One mistake on his part and his rivals were ready to pounce.

« I don't know where to start, what weekend. I think my lucky star accompanied me this weekend, said Sébastien Ogier. It was my uncle, who we lost a year ago. I'm sure he gave me everything, this win is for him. I had a lot of hot moments this weekend… like I said, my lucky star was there. I don't know what that means, but for me it's the world. I don't know if it's my last [Monte Carlo] now. It would be a good time to stop! »

Next rally in February

Now it’s time for the rest of this 2025 WRC season. composed of 13 other rounds. And this one will arrive quickly since the next meeting is in a few weeks.

Indeed, the competitors will head towards northern Europe and the snow of the Rally Sweden from February 13 to 16. Championship leader after his victory in Monte-Carlo, Sébastien Ogier will not be there. No less than 12 Rally1 are expected at the start of this second round of the season.
