15:44 p.m. – SS10: 💬 Sébastien Ogier : “I don't know if Ott is slowing down, but I had better tires than him. I can't judge his current situation, it's not mine. But it would be weird of him [to take his foot off the gas]. »

ES9 – Ranking
General ranking after ES9
14:49 – SS9: ️ It was beaten by Ott Tänak in 15'19″9, but the Estonian is late compared to Sébastien Ogier, who is arriving! The Hyundai driver confides that his team asked him to be careful and not attack too much, after Thierry Neuville's retirement.
14:46 – SS9: ⏱️ The repairs carried out on Adrien Fourmaux's Ford Puma seem to be working well! The Frenchman sets the provisional best time in 15'24″6: that's 9″4 better than Dani Sordo!
14:45 p.m. – SS9 : 🔎 In the third intermediate, Sébastien Ogier is 2″4 ahead of Ott Tänak! Are we going to see another change of leader when this SS9 arrives?
14:43 – SS9: ️ Dani Sordo sets the best time in 15'34″0! He is now on the provisional podium for this Rally of Sardinia thanks to the retirement of Takamoto Katsuta! His lead over Elfyn Evans is 28 seconds overall.
14:39 – SS9: ️ This is immediately beaten by Elfyn Evans in 15'39″5, or 19″3 better than Grégoire Munster. The Welshman moves to 4th place overall.
14:36 a.m. – SS9: ⏱️ Grégoire Munster is therefore the first to finish this 9th special, with a time of 15'58″8.
14:35 – SS9: There are therefore only six Rally1s still in working order. Note that Adrien Fourmaux actually started SS9 despite his delay in the points finish.
14:32 p.m. – SS9: 📈 Dani Sordo and Elfyn Evans should therefore gain one position each and climb to 3rd and 4th places, with the retirement of Takamoto Katsuta.
14:31 – SS9: ❌ It's over for Takamoto Katsuta, who parks in a loophole! The Yaris suffers from a transmission problem.
14:29 – SS9: ⚠️ Takamoto Katsuta stops for the first time, before starting again in slow motion. It seems a compromise for the Japanese, who was in 3rd place overall!
14:27 – SS9: ⚠️🛠️ Takamoto Katsuta's Toyota, which has just set off, seems to have a problem! The Yaris makes a strange noise, and the Japanese is not driving hard!
14:25 – SS9: 📺 It was “rush hour” in the tire assembly area to respect the 15 minutes allowed and leave on time!
- Sébastien Ogier (@SebOgier) June 1, 2024
14:19 – SS9: 🢢 Grégoire Munster sets off, we set off again on this Sardinia Rally with the long Monte Lerno special and its 25 timed kilometers!
14h15 - ⚠️ Adrien Fourmaux left the tire assembly area 6 minutes late and therefore received a 60-second penalty… which will not really penalize the Frenchman, already relegated to the bottom of the ranking following his retirement on Friday. It is Grégoire Munster who will open the road in SS9.
14h12 - ❌ We have just learned of Pierre-Louis Loubet's retirement from WRC2! The Frenchman was 2nd in the category at the start of SS8, but suffered in this last special of the morning, losing almost two minutes.

14h07 - ???? Sébastien Ogier on his morning : “A difficult morning. Unfortunately, the puncture that occurred at the start made life very difficult and put us under pressure to complete the loop. We had to be a little careful and, in the end, I'm happy with our management of the time lost on the loop. We are here, now we have to put on new tires and attack again! The profile of the stages will be a little different this afternoon. »
14h03 - ❌ SS8 caused damage in WRC2 : Teemu Suninen and Emil Lindholm retired, while Pierre-Louis Loubet lost more than a minute after a puncture. This allows Yohan Rossel to move up to 3rd place in WRC2 (Nikolay Gryazin is not registered for the championship).
14h01 - ⚠️ The 9th special has been delayed by a few minutes, and will start at 14:16 p.m.
14h00 - 🔎 Remember that he has no assistance this afternoon between the two loops. The drivers are therefore busy repairing what they can and changing their tires in the dedicated assembly area.

12:23 – SS8: ❌ We have just seen the images: Thierry Neuville went off the road! The Hyundai is stuck on a slope, the front wheels in the air! It may be over for the Belgian! The crew is OK.

11:06 – SS7: ⏱️ 15″7 behind Dani Sordo on his teammate. The double winner of the event is in difficulty today, and also sees the podium slipping away...
11:05 – SS7: ???? Thierry Neuville : “We had a good passage, we had to be careful in this one with the roughness. Lots of stones and big impacts on the bumper, so we had to go slower in the fast sections. A little intercom problem, they took the water when I drank water, but we managed to resolve it. »
11:03 – SS7: ⏱️ Takamoto Katsuta does not find the key to increasing his pace, and fails once again far from Thierry Neuville. The Japanese loses another 10″3 on the Belgian. 3rd place is slipping away for the Toyota driver, now relegated to 33 seconds from the podium…

9:22 a.m. – SS6: Sébastien Ogier is on the attack! Halfway through, the Frenchman is ahead of Ott Tänak and virtually takes the lead of the rally!
9:21 – SS6: ⏱️ Takamoto Katsuta, who left after Thierry Neuville, is relegated to 18″1 behind the Belgian at the finish! The Japanese is losing ground in the fight for third place, now 23 seconds behind the Hyundai driver.
9:18 – SS6: ️ Resigned, Thierry Neuville is certainly not: the Belgian pulverizes Adrien Fourmaux's time and sets a time of 19'06″9!
9:15 – SS6: ⏱️ Has Elfyn Evans already given up hope of coming back today? The Welshman finished 3″2 behind Adrien Fourmaux, and already seems resigned to this Rally of Sardinia. “Terrible feelings. No grip at all on narrow parts. I tried, but I can't get clean", concedes the Toyota driver.
9:12 – SS6: ⏱️ Grégoire Munster still concedes a lot of time at the end of this SS6 with 24″1 behind Adrien Fourmaux.
9:10 – SS6: ???? Adrien fourmaux : “I'm just trying to drive and have fun. Being first on the road, I hope that's something that will help me in the future. I remember that during the previous special, I made fun of being faster than the Rally2s, but now I understand! »

8:56 a.m. – SS6: ⏱️ In the previous special, Yohan Rossel has just set the best time among the Rally2s... and places his Citroën in 4th place on SS5, ahead of five Rally1s! Very good performance from the Frenchman, who benefits from an advantageous starting position following his puncture yesterday. If he is currently 15th in the WRC2 overall, the Nîmes should quickly move up.

8:49 – SS6: 🢢 Adrien Fourmaux sets off, let's go for SS6 of the Sardinia Rally!
8h46 - 🔎 If he has lost control of the rally, Sébastien Ogier will have to be careful on the next three stages: the Frenchman now no longer has a spare wheel after his puncture in SS5, and will have to wait for the tire assembly area ( after SS8) to find new tires.

8:13 – SS5: 🏁 Sébastien Ogier crosses the finish line 4″6 behind and loses the lead of the Sardinia Rally to Ott Tänak! The Estonian signs his second scratch in Italy and leads the way with a tenth ahead of the Frenchman! ⚠️ The right rear tire on the Toyota is flat, which explains the delay in arrival!
8:10 p.m. – SS5 : ️ The duel between Ott Tänak and Sébastien Ogier, separated by 4″5 at the start of this SS5, resumes: the Estonian signs the best provisional time in 9'52″1, or 3″3 better than Thierry Neuville.
8:07 – SS5: ⏱️ Dani Sordo loses two positions at the end of this SS5! The Spaniard fell to 5th place behind Thierry Neuville and Takamoto Katsuta after losing 12″8 on this special.
8:06 – SS5: ???? Thierry Neuville : “It wasn't that fast, it's so sandy in this one, more than expected. I had a clean stage, but we struggled to keep the line. If you want to do more, you could easily do it, but you might get a flat tire. »
8:04 – SS5: ⏱️ Takamoto Katsuta concedes 7 seconds to Thierry Neuville and loses his 4th place to the Belgian overall!
8:01 – SS5: ️ It's beaten, and largely, by Thierry Neuville! The Belgian sets a time of 9'55″4, and beats Elfyn Evans by 11″3! The championship leader is freed from his task as opener, and it shows! He could gain two positions and climb onto the provisional podium, since Dani Sordo and Takamoto Katsuta are well behind in the intermediates.
7:58 – SS5: ️ Improvement for Elfyn Evans who signs a 10'06″7. That’s 12″4 faster than Adrien Fourmaux.
7:55 – SS5: ⏱️ Grégoire Munster is already in management: the Belgian-Luxembourger finishes 19″4 behind his teammate!
7:53 – SS5: ???? Adrien fourmaux : “The car is fine, the electricity works. It's really unfortunate what happened, but that's rallying. It's really bad to be the first one on the road, but we'll see what we can do with the car. »

On today's menu: sweeping! We are no longer in a fight for the general so we are not going to take many risks today. Opening the road is always a challenge!
