Loeb already ahead

Sébastien Loeb and Daniel Elena, winners of the last four rallies in Argentina, are ready for this 2009 edition. The World Champions achieved the best time in a very dusty shakedown. As usual, Mikko Hirvonen and Jarmo Lehtinen follow.

Author of the best time during his third and final passage, Sébastien Loeb expects a formidable ordeal: “We discovered sandy and very slippery roads during the reconnaissance. There is a lot of dust. Behind the wheel, you have the same sensations as driving on the sand of a beach. It will be difficult to open the road in these conditions but we found good adjustments with the team. »

But the sky might not stay blue throughout rally. “There is a chance of rain. This would be a good thing because the humidity would fix the dust and give us more grip,” says Sébastien.
