Romain Dumas between pleasure and performance

Just like his compatriot Stephane Sarrazin, who will return to the World Rally Championship in Corsica, Romain Dumas begins a busy period. Present this weekend for the fifth round of the WEC on the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, where it will be entered in the Porsche 919 Hybrid No. 18, the native of Alès will make a new outing with his 911 meeting the R-GT regulations at the Tour de Corse at the beginning of October.

“I don't know if there will be other rallies on my program, so my objective is clearly to take maximum pleasure and of course to achieve a great performance. Last year, we showed during the Tour de Corse that GTs had a real place in the rally at an international level. It hadn't been easy though.

The 2015 course promises to be at least as difficult, so we are not going to change our approach: we will have to reach the finish, without encountering any problems while being efficient. On the Corsican roads, this is a major mission to accomplish! »

Its RD Rallye Team structure will also be busy during the Corsican weekend, since in addition to the R-GT version, two other 911s will be at the start as part of the French Championship: a Porsche 997 GT3 RS in GT+ for Hervé Poly and Xavier Lyonnet Mariani and a Porsche 996 GT3 RS in GT10 for the crew Richard Thiery and Olivier Fournier.
