Motorsport is always a vector of communication for manufacturers, despite the displeasure of some. For its new promotional campaign, Toyota decided to focus on its sporting branch, Gazoo Racing. Via a short one-minute video clip, all the sporting disciplines visited by Toyota are shown in slow motion shots.

The film begins with the Toyota GR Yaris Rally1 Hybrid driven by Takamoto Katsuta, followed by the Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar driven by Kamui Kobayashi. Followed by the Toyota GR Supra from the 24 2019 Hours of Nürburgring driven by Masahiro Sasaki then the Toyota Hilux T1+ of Giniel de Villiers.
To symbolize the link between competition and the big series, the clip ends with the meeting of the cars marketed by Toyota, the GT86, the GR Yaris and the Supra. “We had to show these cars as if they were a shooting of a scene of animal life or a natural phenomenon,” confides the director of the clip, Takeshi Nozoe. Various tricks were required, such as digging a hole to place a remote-controlled camera to film the Toyota GR Supra. At the Fuji circuit, a fake rain was installed on the straight to visualize the flow of air generated by the Hypercar.
To film the Toyota Hilux in the Dakar, Giniel de Villiers had to negotiate a dune at the appropriate speed in order to clear a thick cloud of sand.
