WRC 2025 Guide – Should we be worried about Hankook?

Among the changes that will greatly impact the discipline in 2025, there is the appearance of the South Korean firm as the new sole manufacturer. The Michelin/Pirelli alternation had allowed the discipline to evolve in a certain tranquility that is now being questioned.

The season hasn't started yet, so let's avoid falling into catastrophism. And yet there would be reason to. When the call for tenders to take over from Pirelli, for three seasons over the period 2025-2027, was launched in 2023, there was little doubt that the Italians had a chance of winning.
