Stéphane Lefebvre gained experience this weekend by participating in the Tour de Corse at the end of which he took 11th place just 13 seconds behindOtt Tänak (Ford). After making his debut on asphalt in WRC last August at Rally from Germany, the Frenchman continued his learning in the special stages of the Rallye des 10 Virages.
“We still learned a lot aboard the DS 3 WRC during this Tour de Corsica”, confirmed Stéphane Lefebvre. “The conditions were dire during the first two days. I didn't take any risks to accumulate kilometers. In the dry, we were able to give an overview of our peak speed. With our low experience, more favorable weather helps us show our competitiveness. Unfortunately, we made a mistake (a spin) which cost us a top 10 in the Power Stage. »
Citroën Racing, which regained second place in the Manufacturers' Championship Hyundai Motorsport continues to be interested in the training of Stéphane Lefebvre since the team will enter him in the Rally of Catalonia held from October 22 to 25 which will offer mixed surfaces.
