Alex Rins – Pilot sheet

1. What is Alex Rins's biography?

Alex Rins is one of those riders who, without making too much of a splash off the track, has built a solid career thanks to raw talent and unwavering determination. Born on December 8, 1995, in Barcelona, he discovered motorcycling at a young age and quickly climbed the ranks of Spanish competitions, before joining the Moto3 World Championship in 2012 with the Estrella Galicia team.

In his second season in Moto3, in 2013, he fought for the title against Maverick Viñales and Luis Salom, eventually finishing runner-up with six wins. In 2014, he remained competitive but failed to secure the title, which prompted him to move up to Moto2 in 2015. With the Pons Racing team, he quickly impressed, finishing runner-up in 2016 after a close battle with Johann Zarco.

His talent didn't go unnoticed, and he was recruited by Suzuki to make his MotoGP debut in 2017. His first few seasons were marked by strong performances, although often marred by injuries. But in 2019, he proved he had the makings of a winner by winning his first MotoGP Grand Prix in Austin, before beating Marc Márquez in a spectacular duel at Silverstone.

In 2020 and 2021, he remained a serious contender but lacked the consistency to challenge for the title. When Suzuki announced his departure from MotoGP in 2022, he concluded his adventure with the Japanese brand in style by winning two races in the final races of the season.

In 2023, he joined Honda's satellite team LCR. Despite an uncompetitive bike, he managed to secure an incredible victory at the United States Grand Prix, once again proving his talent. However, a serious injury kept him off the track for several months and complicated his season.

In 2024, he signed with the official Yamaha team, hoping to regain a higher level of competitiveness and establish himself as a regular contender for podiums.

His record does not yet include a world title, but he remains one of the most experienced and talented riders on the MotoGP grid, always ready to seize the slightest opportunity to shine.
