

Maverick Viñales was born on January 12, 1995, in Figueres, Spain. Passionate about motorcycles from a young age, he quickly made a name for himself in Spanish junior racing. He made his Moto3 World Championship debut in 2011 with the Blusens Avintia team and impressed in his first season, winning several races.
In 2013, he had an exceptional season in Moto3 with the KTM team and won the world title after a fierce battle with Luis Salom and Alex Rins. The following year, he moved up to Moto2 with the Pons Racing team and continued to progress, taking several victories, finishing third in the championship.
In 2015, he moved up to MotoGP with Suzuki, which made its return to the premier class. After a learning curve for the first season, he claimed his first victory in 2016 at the British Grand Prix, marking Suzuki's return to the top step of the podium.
In 2017, he joined Yamaha and made a strong debut, winning the first two races of the season. Although he failed to secure the title, he became one of the fastest riders in the field. Despite several victories in the following years, his relationship with Yamaha deteriorated, and he left the team midway through the 2021 season.
