

Francesco Bagnaia was born on January 14, 1997, in Turin, Italy. Passionate about motorcycles from a young age, he quickly rose through the ranks of young rider competitions in Italy and Spain. He made his Moto3 World Championship debut in 2013 with San Carlo Team Italia, before joining Team Mahindra in 2014.
After a difficult start, he achieved his first Moto3 victories in 2016 with Mahindra. He then moved up to Moto2 in 2017 with the Sky Racing Team VR46, supported by Valentino Rossi. After a learning curve for the first season, he had an exceptional 2018, winning eight races and securing the Moto2 World Championship title.
In 2019, he moved up to MotoGP with the Pramac Ducati team. His first two seasons were marked by ups and downs, but he showed strong potential with several podium finishes. In 2021, he was promoted to the official Ducati team and became Fabio Quartararo's main rival for the title. He won four races at the end of the season and finished runner-up in the world championship.
In 2022, he made a historic comeback after a difficult start to the season. With seven wins, he managed to catch up with Quartararo and win his first MotoGP world championship, becoming the first Italian to win the title with Ducati. In 2023, he confirmed his status by dominating the season and securing a second consecutive title after a close battle with Jorge Martín.
