

Johann Zarco was born on July 16, 1990, in Cannes, France. Passionate about motorcycles since childhood, he quickly joined speed competitions and gained recognition for his talent. After starting out in the Spanish championship, he joined the 125cc world championship in 2009 with the WTR San Marino team.
In 2011, he had an impressive season in the 125cc class with the Ajo Derbi team, scoring several podiums and one victory. He finished runner-up in the world championship behind Nicolás Terol. The following year, he moved up to Moto2 but had to adapt to this more demanding category. After a few seasons of learning, he joined the Ajo Motorsport team in 2015 and dominated the championship, winning his first Moto2 world title with eight victories.
In 2016, he retained his Moto2 title, becoming the first rider to win back-to-back championships in the class. Building on this success, he moved up to MotoGP in 2017 with the satellite Tech3 Yamaha team. In his first season, he impressed with his aggressiveness and speed, scoring several podiums and finishing as the rookie of the year.
In 2019, he joined KTM, but the adjustment was difficult and he left the team mid-season. After a stint with Avintia Ducati in 2020, where he achieved a podium and a pole position, he signed with Pramac Ducati in 2021. He achieved several podium finishes and remained a solid rider in the field, but struggled to secure his first MotoGP victory.
In 2023, he finally managed to win his first MotoGP Grand Prix in Australia after several seasons of competing for the top spots. His record includes two world championship titles:
