The years go by and look the same for Raul Fernandez. The Spaniard is starting 2025 in the same way as 2024: with an early crash during the Sepang (Malaysia) tests. While all the drivers took to the track together for the first time this year, the Trackhouse driver was content with 24 laps before crashing.
Raul Fernandez suffered a heavy fall and was taken to the medical center where he was diagnosed with a fractured metacarpal in his left hand and a fractured toe. The driver, who is about to begin his third season at Trackhouse, is out of the remainder of the three-day test.
This is a second blow for Aprilia after Jorge Martin's violent highside earlier in the morning. Injured and taken to hospital, the world champion may not return to the track either. The Noale team temporarily has only two regular riders on track for the remaining two days of testing at Sepang.

Marco Bezzecchi (Aprilia) and rookie Ai Ogura (Trackhouse) will have to put in a series of laps on the RS-GP to allow Aprilia to collect data in preparation for the first Grand Prix of the year, held in Thailand on March 2. The riders will already be on the Buriram circuit next week for two days of testing before the season resumes. The participation of Jorge Martin and Raul Fernandez remains pending for the time being.
On the French side, the good news comes from fabio quartararo (Yamaha), author of the provisional best time ahead of Marc Marquez (Ducati) and Jack Miller (Pramac Yamaha). Johann Zarco (LCR Honda) is 13th, just over a second behind his compatriot.
