Fabio Di Giannantonio will miss pre-season testing in Thailand. After a crash on the opening day of testing in Sepang last week, the Italian fractured his left collarbone. He then returned to Europe earlier than planned in order to undergo surgery.

This Monday morning, his team, VR46, released reassuring news regarding its pilotHowever, she confirmed her withdrawal from the two days of testing next week in Buriram (February 12 and 13). "Successful operation on the left collarbone for 'diggia'. He will start his rehabilitation. The goal is to be able to take part in the Thailand GP. We are waiting for you, Fabio!"

The return of the Transalpine is therefore set for the weekend of March 02. He will start the first weekend of the season without any real experience on his new bike.

Last November, he had already missed the Barcelona Test, having ruled out the last two weeks of competition of the 2024 season to undergo surgery on the shoulder he was suffering from.

Not having taken part in the Shakedown either, given Ducati's status - Rank A of the manufacturer dealerships - the Italian is far from having uncovered all the secrets of his Desmosedici GP25. The new official machine of Borgo Panigale.

Like Marc Marquez, Di Giannantonio has never ridden Ducati's GP24, having ridden the 2023 bike last year. The practice sessions for the Thailand Grand Prix are therefore set to be intense.
