Franco Morbidelli will miss post-season testing after fracturing his left hand

Even before the start of the Valencia Grand Prix, Franco Morbidelli caused a incidents An unusual move on the grid. The Italian rider, who has been making numerous mistakes lately, collided with Aleix Espargaró's Honda, which was correctly positioned in its place.

The collision damaged both bikes and forced Morbidelli to start from pit lane. The damage to his VR46 was too extensive, and he was ultimately forced to retire. This is his second consecutive retirement, following his crash at the Portuguese Grand Prix.

The misfortune didn't end there. Morbidelli fractured the fifth metacarpal in his left hand and will miss the post-season tests scheduled for Tuesday at the Ricardo Tormo circuit. The Italian is also expected to receive a penalty for the crash he caused before the start, which he will have to serve during the first main race of next season, in Thailand at the Buriram circuit.
