By that date, the test riders of each brand, and the Yamaha riders (the only Tier D manufacturer), will have already covered a few hundred kilometers on the Sepang circuit, not far from the Malaysian capital, as part of the 2026 Shakedown. The three days of scheduled action (January 29, 30 and 31) will end at the dawn of this presentation.
In 2026, Gresini will retain its rider duo of Fermín Aldeguer and Alex Márquez. The only difference is that they will no longer be riding the same motorcycle. While the impressive rookie of the 2025 season will ride the Ducati Desmosedici GP25 next year, his teammate will make the direct jump from the GP24 to the GP26, the latest evolution of the brand, also entrusted to the factory riders.
A gesture of recognition from Ducati for the exceptional season he has just had, which saw him secure second place in the Riders' Championship, behind his elder Marc Márquez.
As a reminder, the eleven machines that will be presented to us before next season will be the last of this generation. The sporting regulations will then evolve in 2027, with redesigned engines and aerodynamics.
