2024 MotoGP world champion Jorge Martín will travel to Austria this week to begin rehabilitation supervised by Red Bull.

Injured in his right collarbone after a crash during the sprint of the Japanese Grand Prix, Jorge Martín returned to Spain for surgery. A few days later, and after missing another event on the calendar, in Indonesia, the Spaniard began his rehabilitation.

As announced by Aprilia this Monday morning, the number 1 flew to Austria, where he will stay at the athlete performance center of Red Bull, to begin an intensive fitness program. A training center equipped with the latest technology, where athletes sponsored by the energy drink brand are placed in the best conditions to work on their goals.

Marc Márquez also spent time at the center after the numerous injuries he suffered at the beginning of the decade. More recently, he went there in order to prepare for his 2023 season. MotoGP. The last one he competed with Honda. However, he is no longer supported by Red Bull since his transfer to Ducati, sponsored by a direct competitor.

 

Despite the 2024 world champion's motivation to return as soon as possible, we already know that he will have to cancel the Australian Grand Prix, which will take place on the weekend of October 19 at Phillip Island. The next event will be the Malaysian Grand Prix at Sepang. The latter is scheduled a week later, from October 24 to 26. There will then be three rounds left before the championship closes.
