First F4 World Cup announced in Macau

Launched in 2024, the Formula Regional World Cup will now have its own supporting event. In November 2024, four World Cups will be organized during the Macau Grand Prix. Through this event, the FIA ​​intends to highlight young F4 drivers who have not yet received much media attention in the promotional categories.

“Education is at the heart of FIA Formula 4, and it is the guiding principle behind the creation of the FIA ​​F4 World Cup, can we read in the official press releaseWith limited track time and a reduced number of street circuits available at national and regional level, the event will offer young drivers an additional opportunity to come and compete on the Guia Circuit – an unforgiving 6,12km ribbon of asphalt draped over the undulations of Macau's historic harbour – before the best of them move on to the faster and more demanding FIA Formula 4 World Cup.

A partnership with the FFSA

Mintimes, the event's technical partner, the organizer of the Chinese F4, will work in cooperation with the FFSA and benefit from the French federation's experience. Furthermore, this technical partnership could also mean the use of the car Ligier, used in FFSA F4 in particular.

In terms of operation, the FIA ​​specifies in its press release: “The FIA ​​F4 World Cup in Macau will offer top drivers an exceptional opportunity to compete among the best F4 talent from around the world. A rigorous selection process will be in place, allowing the most talented young drivers to compete.”

Pending the exact nature of this selection, the event will take place from November 13 to 16, 2025.
