This isn't their first appearance in French F4 this season. Lisa Billard and Jade Jacquet were already present at the first round in Nogaro, taking advantage of a break between the opening round of F1 Academy in China and the next event in Canada from May 22nd to 24th. The logic is the same in Dijon: maximize track time in a car familiar for working on specific points before returning to the F1 Academy.
The two Frenchwomen are returning to a championship they know well. In 2025, Lisa Billard and Jade Jacquet finished first and second respectively in the French Women's F4 Championship — a ranking established by the FFSA Academy which has since taken a step forward in 2026 with ten drivers, including the two F1 Academy drivers, compared to six the previous year, and seven different nationalities compared to three last year.
Dutch driver Annabelle Brian currently leads the standings, ahead of French driver Angelina Proenca and Austrian driver Clara Stiebleichinger. Lisa Billard and Jade Jacquet, who compete on a part-time basis, are not in contention for the title but could be spoilers and bring their experience to a grid that is still being formed.
