After the sprint race of Formula 1 On Saturday, F2 Academy Race 1 was also disrupted by rain in Miami. During the formation lap, a veritable deluge fell on the drivers, who were unable to properly see the cars in front of them. While several laps were completed behind the safety car, causing a few off-track exits despite the slow pace, the red flag was finally waved, late in the day.

Weug the big winner, Chambers injured in Miami

Ultimately, no new start will be given for the F1 Academy drivers this weekend in Miami. Only the first and now only race on Saturday will have allowed the overall standings of the competition to change. Despite their victory in Florida, Dorian Pin does not leave the United States as the leader. Indeed, with Saturday's race being less lucrative than Sunday's, the Frenchwoman is still a small point behind Maya Weug. The lucky MP Motorsport driver had to start from tenth position on Sunday, and would certainly have struggled to maintain her lead in these conditions.

Behind Maya Weug's 64 points and Doriane Pin's 63, Chloe Chambers was unable to capitalize on her pole position and undoubtedly remains among the most disadvantaged. With 53 points, she still leads Alisha Palmowski and her 44 points. At the end of this truncated weekend, the drivers will meet again from June 13 to 15 for a new American event, in Montreal.

"The French woman is lagging behind by a small point every day"... Seriously, you really need to take French lessons because this is where things are getting serious! And I suppose the author got his baccalaureate, maybe even with honors... I'd be ashamed if I were you, really.
