The year 2026 marks the sixtieth anniversary of Team Penske. On this occasion, the team's founder and owner addressed a message to the fans, thanking them for their loyalty and looking back on the history of the American team.
« Sixty years later, it's incredible to think about what Team Penske was like in its early days. From a small, unassuming workshop on the outskirts of Philadelphia, we began to lay the foundations for what you see today: a base built on integrity, respect, passion, hard work, and a strong will to win. These principles led us to victory in our first two races, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring in 1966, and continue to guide us today. »
Since then, Team Penske has become the most successful team in theIndyCar with " 48 championships, over 650 wins, 700 pole positions, 20 Indianapolis 500 wins, one win in Formula 1, three victories at the 24 Hours of Daytona and five championships NASCAR Cup Series since 2012 "congratulates its leader."
Today, Team Penske is a major player in motorsports. Penske Entertainment, a subsidiary of the Penske Corporation, chaired by Roger Penske, owns the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, IndyCar, and INDY NXT. Each year, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway hosts the legendary Indianapolis 500, where Álex Palou emerged victorious in the last edition.
For the 2026 season, Josef Newgarden, Scott McLaughlin and David Malukas, who succeeds Will Power, will represent Roger Penske's team in the IndyCar championship.
