Winner of the FIA Girls on Track program in 2022, Aurelia Nobels subsequently joined the academy Classic Ferrari for sale, who notably fielded her in the last two years in the championship of F1 Academy. After finishing twelfth in 2024 and thirteenth in 2025 (including a podium finish in the penultimate race of the season in Las Vegas), the Boston-born driver is ineligible for a third season in the all-female championship, as per the regulations. The end of 2025 also coincided with the end of her contract with the Ferrari Driver Academy, as confirmed by the organization on December 31st via its social media channels.
For her part, the 18-year-old driver explained that "it wasn't an easy decision, but after reflection, it was the right time to seize new opportunities." Nobels also indicated that she would soon announce her 2026 program, with Brazilian media reporting a potential participation in the Euroformula Open championship in Spain.
