The adventure of Agustín Canapino in IndyCar has it come to an end? We do not yet know if the Argentinian has any keys for his future but one thing is certain, his 2024 season is already over.
Juncos Hollinger Racing, the team he has been racing with since his IndyCar debut in 2023, has announced that both parties have decided to end their collaboration with immediate effect. The Titan as it is nicknamed will therefore not be present at World Wide Technology Raceway on August 17 for the resumption of the current campaign.
« We would like to sincerely thank Agustín for making the jump to one of the fastest and most competitive categories in the world, trusting in JHR and everything that this category represents, can we read in the communicated. Agustín and the team have worked hard to learn, grow, and succeed during his journey at JHR, and we are extremely proud of what we have accomplished together. We wish him the best in his racing career and hope to meet him again in future projects."
As for the future of the No. 78 of Juncos Hollinger Racing, nothing has been indicated but Conor Daly could perhaps finish the season at the wheel, or at least contest the remaining rounds on an oval. Indeed, he drove Agustín Canapino's car during the final tests at Gateway last week.
