Alba Hurup Larsen joins the Ferrari Academy and will represent the Team for its second year in F1 Academy. The Dane has already made a name for herself in her first season in the FIA's all-female category, with seven top-five finishes, including two fourth-place finishes in the second race of the weekend in Shanghai and Las Vegas, the venue for the 2025 season finale. The 16-year-old driver finished seventh in the overall standings last season. The bar is set high for the new Ferrari driver, who succeeds Maya Weug, this season's runner-up, behind Dorian Pin.
By signing the young driver, Scuderia Ferrari is fulfilling a childhood dream. Racing for Ferrari in the F1 Academy is a dream come true. Alba Larsen confides. They've been my favorite team since childhood, and wearing red feels unreal: it's an incredible honor. I've felt supported by them since FIA Girls on Track, and now being part of the most iconic team in motorsport is a true privilege. I'm ready to give everything for Scuderia Ferrari. Bet on red! »
While awaiting the resumption of the F1 Academy, scheduled for mid-March in Shanghai, Ferrari's new recruit will compete in the British F4 championship, where she secured 11th place this year, alongside the UAE F4 championship.
