It was a perfect weekend for Freddie Salter (Mumbai Falcons) in Abu Dhabi, where the first round of the 2025 FRMEC season took place. Under the floodlights of the Yas Marina circuit, the Englishman had no trouble converting his second pole position into a second victory.
Like in Race 1, Freddie Slater reacted perfectly to the lights going out to keep the lead. Evan Giltaire (ART Grand Prix), who had a better start than the day before, tried to hang on but he was unable to get close enough to the Englishman to try an attack. From then on, the race leader went it alone, quickly pushing Evan Giltaire back to more than three seconds. Jesse Carrasquedo (Pinnacle Motorsport) completed the podium ahead of Théophile Naël (Saintéloc Racing) and Ernesto Rivera (Pinnacle Motorsport).
Freddie Slater remains in the lead of the championship with 74 points now. The next round of the FRMEC is scheduled on the same Yas Marina track on January 22 and 23.
