Between McLaren and his team principal Gavin Ward, it's over. The team led by Zak Brown has announced the departure of the man who has held the position of team principal since the 2023 season.
McLaren said the two parties had parted ways by mutual agreement and that the decision was part of a " strategic "A replacement for Gavin Ward has not yet been announced, with the team aiming to continue" to strengthen and develop its management team composed of Tony Kanaan, Brian Barnhart, Scott Harner, Nick Snyder, Brad O'Brien, Lauren Gaudion and Sophie Markakis-Smith. »

As for his future, the now ex-McLaren team principal admitted he wanted to spend time at home before analysing the best opportunities for the rest of his career.
