Paul Aron disqualified from sprint, double good news for Isack Hadjar

This is double good news for Isack Hadjar in the context of the fight for the title in which he is engaged against Gabriel Bortoleto in Formula 2Sixth in the sprint race, the Frenchman limited the damage after losing part of his front wing at the first corner, when his Brazilian rival scored five points more than him by finishing 2nd.

However, the technical checks carried out after the race revealed a non-compliance with the DRS regulations of Paul Aron, 3rd in the sprint, resulting in a double sanction for the Estonian: a disqualification from the sprint, and a start from the pit lane for the main race scheduled for this Sunday.

This therefore benefits Isack Hadjar doubly. The Tricolore in fact recovers a place and therefore a point during the sprint (5th), and therefore returns to 4,5 points from the leader Gabriel Bortoleto in the championship, before the last race of the season (10:25 French time). A race from which he was supposed to start from 4th position, two positions from his rival and direct competitor (2nd). He will finally start just behind him (3rd)… enough to offer an even more intense fight?
