Suspended for Spa-Francorchamps for having participated without authorization in a round of Eurocup-3 on the Belgian circuit earlier in the year (even though the regulations prohibit it), Nikola Tsolov will not be able to capitalize on his victory obtained in Budapest last Sunday in the main race. The Bulgarian, who made his appearance in the top 10 of the championship, will therefore not ride on the Ardennes slide this weekend.
His ART Grand Prix team therefore had to find a replacement at short notice and the French structure led by Sébastien Philippe caught a big fish. Revelation at the start of the season after largely dominating the FRMEC last winter, the Finn Tuukka Taponen will indeed make his debut in the FIA Formula 3 in Belgium, he who currently occupies 2nd place in the FRECA championship with four victories. The French structure will try to confirm its current good form since its three drivers are in the top 10 of F3.
🚨 Announcement 🚨
For Round 9 of the @ Formula3 championship in #BelgiumGP, Tuukka Taponen will take place in car number 25, replacing Nikola Tsolov.
