After Naoki Yamamoto, another former Super Formula champion is leaving the championship. Crowned in 2016, Yuji Kunimoto will no longer be in the game in 2025. The Japanese, who was the teammate of Theo Pourchaire during the Frenchman's only appearance in Japan, announced his retirement this Friday, November 29.

A regular at Team Impul this year, Yuji Kunimoto had a difficult season with only two finishes in the points in nine starts for a final 13th place in the championship.
