With 246 Grands Prix contested between 1994 and 2008, David Coulthard is one of the leading figures of the Formula 1 of the 1990s and 2000s. The Scotsman built the bulk of his record at McLaren, between 1996 and 2004, after starting out at Williams (1994-1995), then the end of his career at Red Bull (2005-2008). He has 13 Grand Prix victories, the first in Portugal in 1995 and the last at the 2003 Australian Grand Prix, and had his best season in 2001, finishing as runner-up in the world championship with 2 wins and 65 points, far behind Michael Schumacher, crowned champion with 123 points and 9 wins.
During the Var weekend, he will be driving the Red Bull RB7. car world champion in 2011 with Sebastian VettelOn Sunday, May 10, he will perform a series of hot laps, a demonstration designed to revive the raw performance of this recent F1 car on the Castellet circuit.
In parallel, Coulthard will also be present on the grid of the "Fast and Famous"alongside several figures from French and international motorsport such as Jacques Villeneuve, Esteban Ocon or even Jean Alesi. An event that blends exhibition and spectacle, which has become a highlight of the KENNOL Historic French Grand Prix.
