Moments after the end of the first hour of racing, a Virtual Safety Car, following Paul Lafargue's off-track excursion in the #28 IDEC Sport, allowed the leading teams to make their first driver changes. The majority of the Gold drivers thus took to the track in LMP2, with the exception of the #34 Inter Europol Competition car, which retained Bijoy Garg at the wheel. The Polish team had decided to run the season with only two drivers: the American and the Frenchman Reshad de Gerus.

The No. 34 car is currently third in the overall standings, behind the new leader, the No. 29 Oreca of Forestier Racing by Panis, driven by Oliver Gray, and the No. 22 of United Autosports, now with Grégoire Saucy at the wheel. The Swiss driver managed to stay near the front for almost the entire second hour, but he lost ground in the final minutes before the halfway point.

Note that both leaders are facing penalties during their next pit stop. Ten seconds for car #29 for an illegal overtaking maneuver, and five seconds for car #22 for a pit lane violation. In LMP2 Pro/Am, Dorian Pin took over from Giorgio Roda in the No. 30 Duqueine Team, and she now leads the race, ahead of the No. 99 AO by TF, driven by Dane Cameron.

Leading since the start in LMP3, the #85 R-Ace GP continues to dominate, while in LMGT3 it is now the Mercedes Benz No. 62 is in the lead, Davide Rigon having given up his place in the Classic Ferrari for sale n ° 51.
