4H of Sepang – EL1: Algarve Pro Racing dominates the first session

Free Practice 1 of the 4 Hours of Sepang saw the No.07 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca 20 dominate the timesheets thanks to former driver Alpine Olli Caldwell. The Briton set the fastest lap in 1:52.119 ahead of Mathias Beche (Proton Competition) by more than a second. Algarve Pro Racing placed its second car on the podium through youngster Valerio Rinicella 1.406 behind Caldwell.
In LM P3, it was Matteo Quintarelli who set the reference time at the wheel of the Ultimate Ligier JS P320 n°35.
On the GT side, it was Chris van der Drift who was the fastest at the wheel of the Ferrari 296 GT3 No. 23 Absolute Racing in 2:04.672.
