La Ferrari 296 GT3 has reached the milestone of 100 victories less than two years after its competitive debut at the 24 2023 Hours of Daytona. This symbolic milestone was reached this Saturday at the 4 Hours of Sepang, the opening round of the 2024-2025 season of the Asian Le Mans Series, with the number 57 car of Car Guy Racing, driven by the Japanese Yudai Uchida, the French Esteban Masson and the Brazilian Daniel Serra, official Ferrari driver.
« The result obtained in Sepang fills us with pride and confirms the excellence of this project, rejoices Antonello Coletta, Global Program Manager Endurance and Ferrari Corse Clienti. We have reached the milestone of 100 race wins with the 296 GT3, including the LMGT3 specification car, in less than two years since its racing debut. During this period, we have achieved extraordinary results such as this year’s victory at the Daytona 24 Hours and, for the first time in Ferrari’s history, success at the Nürburgring 24 Hours in 2023.
“I congratulate the drivers, including our official driver Daniel Serra, and the Car Guy team for contributing to this 100th success in the highly competitive ALMS context, making an already brilliant conclusion to the 2024 season even more memorable. This is further underlined by the recent titles won in Jeddah in GT World Challenge Europe and the two victories in the FIA WEC at Fuji and Bahrain during the season that saw this car make its debut on the world stage ", adds the Italian leader.
The 296 GT3 has already distinguished itself with prestigious victories in its first two years of operation: at the 24 2023 Hours of Nürburgring (Earl Bamber, Nicky Catsburg, David Pittard and Felipe Fernandez Laser with Frikadelli Racing), at the 24 2024 Hours of Daytona (Alessandro Pier Guidi, Davide Rigon, James Calado and Daniel Serra with Risi Competizione) and two victories in WEC this season.
