Gradient Racing announces new crew for sprint rounds

Gradient Racing has announced two new drivers for its 2025 season.. While the Texan team rides with Joey Hand, Till Bechtolsheimer and Tatiana Calderón during the rounds ofEndurance Cup, the No. 3 Ford Mustang GT66 will line up for the shorter rounds with two new drivers. Robert Megennis, a former GTD class driver in IMSA as well as in Indy Lights, and Jenson Altzman, driver of the Ford Performance Junior Team, will be teammates from the Grand Prix of Long Beach.

« Being back in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is really exciting, exclaims Robert Megennis. I believe this series offers the best sports car racing in the world. I'm excited to drive the Gradient Racing Mustang GT3 and continue its development. The support I've received from Ford Performance and Multimatic Motorsports has been incredible. I've heard nothing but good things about this program, and I'm excited to be a part of it and have the opportunity to work with Jenson, as we've known each other for a long time. »

« I want to give the best of myself and the Mustang GT3. With this platform and this field, I am convinced that we have the potential to win races. »

As a Ford Performance junior driver, Altzman competed in the Mustang Challenge in GT4. He is now ready to showcase his talents in GT3. Altzman will also compete in the Michelin Pilot Challenge with McCumbee McAleer Racing.

« This opportunity represents everything I have worked for and admired since I started flying karting, said Jenson Altzman. Long Beach will be a very special event for me, and I'm ready to take this Mustang to the top. »

« I had the chance to participate in the development of the Dark Horse R for the Mustang Challenge and to participate in driving the Mustang GT4, adds Altzman. It's a great feeling to be involved with Ford Performance; no one else in motorsports offers such an opportunity. Over the past few years, they've given me the tools I need to prepare, and I'm ready to make my ambitions a reality. The Junior Driver program has opened up many opportunities for me. I'm very grateful to McCumbee McAleer Racing for everything they've done for me. Thanks to them, I've been able to progress exponentially in such a short time. This wouldn't have been possible without the help of all my partners; I'm looking forward to introducing my former partners to a new environment and welcoming new faces to the IMSA paddock. »

Joey Hand, Tatiana Calderon and Till Bechtolsheimer will continue to drive the team's Mustang GT3 for the three remaining Michelin Endurance Cup races at Watkins Glen, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta.
