Luca Ghiotto replaces Nick Yelloly at Inter Europol at Le Castellet

Having committed to another IMSA race, Nick Yelloly temporarily hands over his seat to Luca Ghiotto for the next European Le Mans Series event.

Luca Ghiotto replaces Nick Yelloly at Inter Europol at Le Castellet

As the Castellet round of the European Championship approaches Le Mans Series (ELMSInter Europol Competition has officially announced an adjustment to its LMP2 driver lineup. Luca Ghiotto will drive the #43 car for this event, replacing Nick Yelloly, who is competing in the US championship that same weekend. IMSA with Acura — with whom he already won last weekend in Long Beach —, at Laguna Seca from May 1st to 3rd.

This replacement is part of a context of frequent overlapping schedules in EnduranceThis forces teams to adapt their driver lineups on an ad hoc basis. For Inter Europol, the choice of Ghiotto is a natural fit, a solution that ensures continuity rather than a gamble. The Italian already knows the team perfectly, having driven for them in the 2025 LMP2 season, which facilitates his immediate integration into the crew.

At Le Castellet, he will team up with Kuba Smiechowski and Tom Dillmann in an experienced lineup aiming to capitalize on the team's strong start to the season. The objective will be clear: maintain momentum and remain competitive at the front of the field in what is always a highly contested category. This replacement, however, is temporary. Nick Yelloly will return to his seat in the #43 car for the following round, once his IMSA commitments are fulfilled.
