The third hour of racing was lively on the Road Atlanta side, for Petit Le Mans, finale of the 2025 season ofIMSAJack Aitken took advantage of the traffic to surprise Tom Blomqvist at the start of the first corner of the circuit and put the Cadillac No. 31 in the lead of the race, before the LMP2 car got carried away.

Leading this category at the end of the second hour, the #43 Inter Europol Competition Oreca 07 driven by Jeremy Clarke spun after a collision with the #11 TDS Racing car, which was now in control. Also in LMP2, Juan Manuel Correa went off track with the #2 United Autosports Oreca 07, but the American was able to restart despite having damaged the front-left wheel.

In the last ten minutes of the third hour of the race, it was the Oreca 07 nº8 of Tower Motorsport driven by Sebastian Alvarez, teammate of Frenchman Sébastien Bourdais, who had an accident with the Ferrari 296 GT3 #021 of Triarsi Competizione, who was spinning on the track. This collision had an impact on the general classification, as a well-timed stop sent Mathieu Jaminet (Porsche) in first place. A godsend for the Frenchman, who leads the championship with his teammate Matt Campbell before this final event of the North American season.
