While the composition of the six drivers chosen to represent the Lion brand this year was known, it was not known in which Peugeot 9X8 was set to perform for each of the three drivers called. The French manufacturer confirmed the composition of its two crews on Monday, and unsurprisingly, it is the No. 93 that has seen the most significant changes, following the departures of Jean-Éric Vergne (who has become a development driver) and Mikkel Jensen.
Thus, Paul di Resta will team up with Peugeot's new recruit, Nick Cassidy, while the team's "new veteran," Stoffel Vandoorne, makes his debut in the #93, having driven the #94 last season. The Belgian driver contested his final race at Fuji before ultimately returning to the team for 2026, once Jean-Éric Vergne's plans were clarified. The Parisian will remain a Peugeot development driver this season, while primarily focusing on the... Formula E with Citroën, and the development of the fourth generation of car electric.
As for car #94, Peugeot has decided to retain the same trio that took part in the 8 Hours of Bahrain last November. Loïc duvalMalthe Jakobsen and Theo Pourchaire The Frenchman, who will be making his full-time debut after spending a year as a reserve driver, will therefore be part of the team.
