VIDEO – Jamie Chadwick's first Hypercar test

Jamie Chadwick, driver for the Genesis Magma Racing team, has reached a new milestone in his career by completing his first laps at the wheel of the GMR-001 Hypercar at the Magny-Cours circuit. This follows a season with three victories in the European Championship. Le Mans Series with Mathys Jaubert and Dani Juncadella, the Briton joined the team of future full-time drivers at Magny-Cours, alongside her 2025 teammates, as well as André Lotterer and Pipo Derani, for a multi-day development test session on dry and wet track.

These first laps mark the beginning of his expanded role within the team. During the final months of 2025 and until the 2026 World Championship season...Endurance FIA-approved Jamie will take on additional responsibilities as a development driver, contributing on track and in the simulator as the GMR-001 program accelerates towards its debut at the 1812km Qatar Rally in March. She will also become the team's reserve driver for 2026.

Chadwick is the second woman after Lilou Wadoux to get behind the wheel of a Hypercar. The Frenchwoman has already had the opportunity to drive the Toyota GR010 Hybrid and the Classic Ferrari for sale 499P.
