At the wheel of the No. 07 IDEC Sport Oreca 18: Jamie Chadwick, Mathys Jaubert, and three-time winner Andre Lotterer. For Chadwick and Jaubert, entering their first full season in prototypes, it was a major debut on one of motorsport's most prestigious stages.
After a practice qualifying session, the crew quickly found their rhythm. During the night, the No. 18 car moved into the lead thanks to the consistency of all three drivers and a solid strategy. Unfortunately, a mechanical failure ended the race shortly after the halfway mark, but the performance confirmed the potential of the Trajectory program.
These firsts 24 Hours of Le Mans also allowed the integration of new executives, the announcement of strategic reinforcements and the presentation for the first time in Europe of the full-scale model of the Hypercar GMR-001. More than 40 members of Hyundai Motorsport, identified for future roles in WEC, were on hand to familiarize themselves with the event ahead of the planned Hypercar debut in 2026.
