The adventure between Lamborghini and Matteo Cairoli is over. The Italian driver announced this Friday on his social networks his departure from the Sant'Agata Bolognese firm. The Como native had not been selected for the 24 Hours of Daytona this weekend in the transalpine prototype while he had competed in the rounds of Sebring, Watkins Glen and Indianapolis last year.
« I would like to thank all the people I met during my stay at Lamborghini Squadra Corse, Cairoli writes on his Instagram account. 2024 was a challenging year for my career, and it was an intense 12 months where I really gave my best and felt like I grew as a person and as a rider. I’m looking forward to getting back on track for a new chapter in my career, which will be announced soon. »
