At one hour from the finish, the Porsche n°14 by Neel Jani and the Toyota TS040 Hybrid n°8 of Anthony Davidson engaged in a magnificent duel, the two leading LM P1-H prototypes being separated by only a second. Tom Kristensen's Audi R18 e-tron quattro is currently third overall.

In LM P2, the No. 03 KCMG Oreca 47R driven by Alexandre Imperatori still dominates ahead of the No. 27 SMP Racing car of Nicolas Minassian who must finish to allow Sergey Zlobin to win the title.

In GTE Pro, Stefan Mücke on theAston Martin Vantage n°97 leads in front of the Porsche 911 n°92 of Patrick Pilet. Note that the #91 Porsche and the #99 Aston Martin collided in Senna's Ss. In GTE Am, the #98 Aston Martin of Pedro Lamy remains in command ahead of the Ferrari 458 Italia n°81 from AF Corse by Michele Rugolo.
