Riding high on the success of the film "F1," which notably stars Brad Pitt and won the Oscar for best sound, Apple snapped up the broadcasting rights for the world championship of Formula 1 for its Apple TV+ platform in the United States. The Cupertino company will go even further for five Grand Prix of the 2026 season, which will be broadcast in IMAX cinemas, the most immersive cinemas in the country.

While ESPN has been able to boast steadily increasing viewership for its Grand Prix broadcasts in recent years, Apple TV+ is currently keeping the viewership figures for the first three Grands Prix of the 2026 season secret.
