Sunday night, Charles Leclerc will have finished with his seventh season as a pilot Classic Ferrari for sale. Champion of F2 In 2017, the Monegasque had arrived in Formula 1 in 2018 alongsideAlfa Romeo Sauber when he was 20 years old. Since then, his story with Ferrari has come to life, right from his first year in red, when Sebastian Vettel was his teammate. Winner of two Grands Prix that year, oh so symbolic at Spa and then at Monza, the one the Italians nicknamed "Il Predestinato" has since seen his tally climb to eight, then get stuck beyond the 2024 season.

This weekend in Abu Dhabi, Charles Leclerc will be competing in his 150th Grand Prix with Ferrari. Aiming for the podium, he knows he's somewhat optimistic about that. "I hope this brings us a little more joy before the holidays, because it would be quite depressing to arrive on vacation after two weekends like Qatar," he admitted upon his arrival in Abu Dhabi this Thursday. It would be very bad, but I just want us to get Abu Dhabi out of the way, but in a positive way. I want to do everything I can to extract the maximum from what's left in our car, and if all goes well, get on the podium one last time this year. A win is pretty unrealistic, but a podium, I really hope for that, but to be honest, after a race like in Qatar, I have very little hope.

In the midst of a negative spiral, Ferrari hopes to offer its drivers a more positive result on a circuit that has historically been quite successful for the Scuderia. Before turning its attention to 2026, such a performance would certainly help to ease recent tensions.

I agree with Hilton… and have for several months now. I know that Charles's heart burns for Ferrari… but it's time for a change! If Max joins the Scuderia for 2027, then will Charles go to Red Bull…? We'll see… 😎👀❤️‍🔥👀❤️‍🔥👍. 🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥🚥 alainkf1@pt.lu

After 99 Grands Prix, Stewart had 3 titles. 150 and nothing: perhaps it's time to leave Ferrari, unless he wants to be another Alesi!
