Just days before the start of the World Championship Formula 1 2026, the opening round of which will be held in Melbourne (Australia), Charles Leclerc has officially begun a new chapter in his life. The pilot of the Team Ferrari married Alexandra Saint Mleux on February 28 in Monaco, in a deliberately discreet setting, far from the hustle and bustle of the paddock.

Images circulating on social media show the couple leaving the hills above Monaco in a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, an iconic model in the Italian brand's history. A deliberate nod to Ferrari's heritage, as the Monegasque driver prepares to begin his eighth season with the red car.

This merger comes at a particularly opportune time in the sporting context. The 2026 season marks the introduction of a new regulatory cycle in Formula 1, with major technical changes expected for power units and aerodynamics. For Ferrari, the stated objective is very clear: to return to the fight for the world title, and after pre-season testing, despite the varying roles played by the other teams, the Scuderia seems to be off to a good start.

Charles Leclerc, the 2022 World Championship runner-up and regularly presented as one of the pillars of the project in Maranello, approaches this season with contractual and now personal stability. For several seasons, the Monegasque driver has embodied the Italian team's ambition to reclaim a title that has eluded them since 2007 in the Drivers' Championship and 2008 in the Constructors' Championship. The question remains whether, eight years after his first season with Ferrari,  "Il Predestinato" is now capable of aligning everything.

A married driver is a slower driver... said a certain Enzo F. Will the Monegasque become less fast than Sir Lewis?
