Jack Doohan is playing Kimi Raikkonen. The Australian presented on Friday on the sidelines of the Las Vegas Grand Prix the race number that he will display on his car in 2025. Like the 2007 world champion, he will wear number 7.

Doohan will be associated with Pierre Gasly in Alpine next season. The 21-year-old driver will replace Esteban Ocon, which will be rolling at Haas. The son of five-time 500cc world champion Michael Doohan will be one of four rookies on the 2025 grid along with Andrea Kimi Antonelli (Mercedes), Oliver Bearman (Haas) and Gabriel Bortoleto (Sauber). Potentially waiting for another newcomer.
By communicating the number of his future pilot, Alpine seems to want to cut short the rumor of Franco Colapinto's arrival in the team with the arrowed A. In recent weeks, a rumor has indeed indicated a possible replacement of the Australian by the current driver Williams. The Argentinian's recent outings in Brazil and Las Vegas, however, do not speak in his favour.
