And three for Oliver Bearman! After replacing Carlos Sainz in Jeddah at Ferrarithen Kevin Magnussen in Baku at Haas, the Englishman will therefore participate in a third Grand Prix this season, once again in place of the Dane within the American team for which he will also be the regular driver next year. As a reminder, "Ollie" had been officially announced by Haas shortly before the first free practice session this Friday in order to replace a sick Magnussen.
Qualified for SQ3 this Friday ahead of his teammate Nico Hulkenberg and 10th on the sprint grid, the Englishman was due to hand over the wheel to Kevin Magnussen for the Grand Prix qualifying. He will ultimately keep it, as announced by the team managed by Ayao Komatsu. This is therefore the second Grand Prix missed by Kevin Magnussen this season after his suspension race served in Azerbaijan.
Following Ollie stepping into the VF-24 for today's sessions due to Kevin's sickness, we can confirm that the British driver will now complete the full #BrazilGP weekend with the team. 🇧🇷
We wish Kevin a full and speedy recovery. 🙏# HaasF1 #F1 pic.twitter.com/fqcXeJApQJ
