Ferrari Formula 1 drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton were in Maranello this week for the first start-up of the engine of their future single-seater.

VIDEO – Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton witness the first start of the SF-26

The engine of the SF-26, the name that the car from Ferrari for the 2026 season Formula 1, roared for the first time in the workshops of Maranello this week. Lewis Hamilton et Charles LeclercThe Scuderia drivers for the upcoming season had made the trip for an event which was also attended by the team's engineers, as well as the French Team Principal of the Reds, Frédéric Vasseur.

The moment sparked a wave of smiles, just days before the team's presentation. Indeed, while the colors of the future Ferrari were not revealed in this video, they will be unveiled on January 23rd at Fiorano (Italy), at the start of the Italian team's season.

Leclerc and Hamilton were in Maranello this week for the first engine start of their future SF-26, while GM Cadillac held the shakedown of its Caddy on Thursday at Silverstone... could the American customer have jumped the gun on its Italian supplier? Isn't the Scuderia a little behind schedule?
