The sixth lap was a real bloodbath for two of the three French drivers. The first to disappear was Isack Hadjar. The driver Red Bull catches its front left wheel in turn 14, breaking its front suspension completely. carHaving become uncontrollable, it violently crashes into the wall on the left side at turn 15. Race over for the Frenchman, who had no escape against a car that no longer responded.

In the same lap, just a few seconds later, Pierre Gasly is in turn the victim of an accident, this time due to contact.Alpine Gasly attempts to overtake Liam Lawson on the outside of Turn 17, a clean maneuver — but the Racing Bulls driver locks his front left wheel and spins sideways at the precise moment the two cars are side-by-side. The impact is violent: Gasly's car becomes airborne, performs a full roll, and ends up half-perched on the tire wall. The safety car is immediately deployed, and theAlpine is good for the scrap heap.

Both drivers escaped uninjured from their respective crashes, the only good news in a nightmarish sixth lap for the French team. Only one Frenchman now remains in contention in this sprint race. Esteban Ocon, under the colors Haas, who alone carries the blue-white-red flag for the rest of the 57 rpm records at Hard Rock Stadium.
