Summoned by the FIA, Christian Horner escapes with a warning
Christian Horner probably should have turned his tongue in his mouth seven times. The main team of Red Bull was summoned by the International Automobile Federation (FIA) following the Qatar Grand Prix on Sunday, November 21.
The British team boss will have to answer for two potential breaches of the International Sporting Code in force in Formula 1, Articles Article 12.2.1 f) and 12.2.1 k) concerning the behavior of championship players: “Any words, actions or writings that have caused moral harm or loss to the FIA, its organizations, its members or its managers, and more generally to the interests of motorsport and the values defended by the FIA. »
At the microphone of Sky Sports F1, shortly after the penalty of Max Verstappen for not having slowed down in the presence of a yellow flag, Christian Horner in fact accused the commissioner responsible for the yellow flag being waved of « thug ».
During the hearing, Christian Horner justified his inappropriate words under the pressure of the moment. He then apologized to the commissioner concerned, explaining that he had no intention of offending the latter. The Red Bull boss gets away with a simple warning.
