Alpine took advantage of the absence of Grands Prix in April to get one of its drivers back on track. Franco Colapinto completed the required 200 kilometers on the Silverstone circuit during a filming day, thus maintaining his work rhythm before two important deadlines: the Buenos Aires Road Show scheduled for April 26, and the preparation for the Miami Grand Prix from May 1 to 3.
This day of filming comes at a time of positive momentum for the French team. Alpine currently sits fifth in the Constructors' Championship, tied on points with Red Bull (16 points), after three encouraging races. Pierre Gasly contributed to 15 of the team's 16 points, with Colapinto scoring only one with a tenth-place finish in China — a gap the Argentinian will want to close at the first American race. The 2026 season also marks the debut ofAlpine with the engine Mercedes Benz, now cited as the most powerful on the grid, which could partly explain the team's leap forward compared to the previous season.
