At Williams, the priority was to stay on track, after the Grove team was forced to enter just one car in Melbourne ten days ago following Alex's crash Albon and the absence of a replacement chassis. The American, definitely not successful at Suzuka, lost control of his car halfway through the first free practice session, at the exit of the first sector esses this Friday.
Coming out wide, he put two wheels in the grass before spinning in the gravel and hitting both the front and the rear in the techpro. The suspensions do not seem to have moved, and James Vowles reassured about the condition of the chassis. If it turns out that the monocoque is severely affected, it could lead to the American missing the Japanese Grand Prix on Sunday. But we’re not there yet!
